Butch Phelps is a songwriter, vocalist, guitar player, music teacher and music lover who lives in Hell's Kitchen, New York City.  Soaking up a variety of musical influences as a kid, Butch began playing guitar and writing songs at an early age.
Having lived in most regions of the USA at one time or another, his appreciation for writers and performers reached new heights in Portland, Oregon.  Upon arriving in NYC he became immersed in the thriving music of the East Village while cofounding the band The New Heathens.  In addition to his solo work, Butch has created bands The Elevaters and The Buck Ups. Butch continues to write and perform with his bands and roudy friends all over NYC.
